Chemical Peel Q & A

The TCA Chemical Peel will diminish brown unwanted pigmentation, crepey skin, fine lines and wrinkles and firm and tighten the face and neck. This peel is not a lunch time peel, it will require a 7-day recovery. You can work at home but will not want to be seen socially while you are peeling. It does require preparation of Retin A and hydroquinone for 6 weeks at home with the ZO Skin Health System. This peel is ideal for men and women of all ages, young and old, all skin types and color. So whether you have white, black, and brown skin color the TCA Peel will be extremely effective for tightening skin laxity and wrinkles. TCA Peels are also excellent for patients with acne scarring by tightening the skin around the scars that shrinks the acne scar in size. At Dermatology and Advanced Skin Care in Columbia, MD, Dr. Kane uses a laughing gas called Pronox during the TCA Chemical Peel treatment to make the peel much more tolerable.
